Bella Light Cabled Poncho

The Bella Light Cabled Poncho is a worsted weight poncho that is fun and interesting to knit, and looks great on everyone. 

Construction Details
The poncho is knit in 2 pieces, from the bottom up. The back is a rectangle with panels of symmetrically balanced cables and moss stitch, and no shaping. The front is knit in the same pattern, with just a few rows of neck shaping.

Materials
Yarn
1150 yds worsted weight yarn
Needles
size 6 circular needles, 24” long (for bottom edge and collar)
size 8 circular needles, 24” long (for main body)
Misc
cable needle, stitch markers, row counter, tapestry needle

Gauge
4.5 stitches = 1” in stockinette stitch, using the larger needles.
Change needles size as necessary, for accurate gauge!

Required skills
Casting on, knitting, purling, basic cabling, decreasing (k2tog and ssk), binding off, seaming, picking up stitches, and working in the round on circular needles.
