Construction Details
The hat is knit flat in garter stitch, beginning with the bottom edge, and working up toward the crown, then seamed.

Yarn
100-250 yds worsted weight yarn
Needles
size 5 needles (for lower brim)
size 7 needles (for main body)

Misc
locking ring stitch markers, row counter, tapestry needle

Gauge
17 stitches = 4” in garter stitch, using the larger needles.
Change needles size as necessary, for accurate gauge!

Required skills
Casting on, knitting, decreasing (k2tog), seaming.
