Last Minute Santa Hat

Pattern Details
The Last Minute Santa Hat is a worsted weight hat that is quick and fun to knit. Instructions are clearly written, and there is minimal shaping required.

Construction Details
The hat is knit seamlessly in the round, beginning with the bottom edge, and working up toward the crown. The body of the hat is worked on circular needles (16” length), changing to double pointed needles as needed.

Yarn
100-200 yds worsted weight yarn (50-100 yds MC and 50-100 yds CC)
Needles
size 6 circular needles, 16” length (for bottom edge)
size 8 circular needles, 16” length (for main body)
size 8 double pointed needles (for top shaping)
Misc
stitch markers, row counter, tapestry needle

Gauge
18 stitches = 4” in stockinette stitch, using the larger needles.
Change needles size as necessary, for accurate gauge!

Casting on, knitting, purling, decreasing (k2tog).
