Pattern Details
Little Max is a worsted weight V-neck cardigan vest, knit in stockinette stitch with garter stitch edges.

Construction Details
Vest back and fronts are knit separately, and seamed at the shoulders.
Stitches are picked up and knit along the armhole edges, and along the front edges for a simple garter stitch buttonband.
The pattern is unisex, with instructions for buttonholes on both front edges, so you can choose for yourself.

175/225/300 yds worsted weight yarn
Needles
size 6 (for garter stitch borders and neckband)
size 8 (for body/stockinette stitch sections)
Note: The body pieces (back and fronts) are knit flat, so you may use straight or circular needles. However, you will need a 24-32” circular needle (size 6) for the neckband, to accommodate the number of stitches.
Misc
stitch markers, row counter, tapestry needle, 4 small buttons

Gauge
18 stitches = 4” in stockinette stitch, using the larger needles.
Change needles size as necessary, for accurate gauge!

Required skills
Casting on, knitting, purling, binding off, decreasing (k2tog and ssk), increasing (yo), picking up and knitting stitches, and seaming.
