Pattern Details
Simply The Vest is a chunky weight V-neck cardigan vest, knit in garter stitch. Instructions are clearly written, and easy to follow.

Construction Details
Vest back and front pieces are knit separately, then joined at the shoulders, using a 3 needle bind off.
Stitches are picked up along the front and neck edge, and the neckband is knit with a single buttonhole.
You could choose to omit the buttonhole, and wear the vest open.

Extra Small/Small/Medium/Large/Extra Large

Finished Chest - 30/34/38/42/46”
Finished Length - 20/21/21/22/22”

Materials
Yarn
- approximately 650/700/750/800/850 yds chunky weight yarn
Needles - size 10 circular
All knitting is done flat, so you can use either straight or circular needles.
You will, however, need circular needles (24-32”) for the neckband.
Misc - 3 stitch holders, locking ring stitch markers, tapestry needle, 1 large button

Gauge
14 stitches = 4” in garter stitch
Change needles size as necessary, for accurate gauge!

Required skills
Casting on, knitting, binding off, decreasing (k2tog and ssk), increasing (yo), picking up and knitting stitches, 3 needle bind off and seaming.
